The Bug Shield By Armadillo Inc. manufactures bug, rock
& debris deflectors. These deflectors are designed specifically for each make
and model vehicle for a perfect fit and style thus being “Custom Fit”. The
concept of a bug, rock & debris deflector is to change the normal airflow in
front of a vehicle to above the vehicles design. This carries the lightweight
bugs above the viewing area of the driver while the durability of the product
stops rocks & road debris from striking the vehicle. This reduces danger to
the driver & occupants as well as saving many owners costly insurance claims
for damages from debris. The Shields are manufactured using GE Lexan and
offered in 3 colors (Smoke, Red & Clear) and Custom Fit to each vehicle model.
GE Lexan is one of the strongest yet flexible polycarbonate materials on the
market. This polycarbonate is cut to a patterned shape, then inserted into an
aluminum extrusion and bonded with a 3M double-sided closed cell tape.
